Christopher A. Bayham

Chief Information Officer, United Healthcare Specialty Benefits
Christopher Bayham is the chief information officer of United Healthcare Specialty Benefits, where he is responsible for technology strategy planning, delivery, and operations for this $2 billion division. Chris has more than a decade of information technology experience in the healthcare, insurance, and financial services industries. Prior to joining United Healthcare, Chris held leadership positions at Freddie Mac, Diamond Management and Technology Consultants, and Accenture. He also worked at Drinks.com, an Internet start-up company. Chris is a member of the Society for Information Management and is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute.

Chris is involved with 501cTech because it gives him the opportunity to give back using his substantial business and technology skills. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama with a concentration in Management Information Systems and received his M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He lives in Ellicott City, Md. with his wife, Valerie, and their son, Gabe. He enjoys playing golf and tennis and, of course, sharing pictures of Gabe looking adorable, which is not difficult.
