David Roth

Managing Director, IT/Chief Information Officer, The Carlyle Group

David Roth has worked at the Carlyle Group, a leading private equity firm, for over ten years. Prior to the Carlyle Group, David was CTO of Shop2U.com and senior vice president of Information Systems and Services at Discovery Communications.

David is involved with 501cTech’s Board for several reasons. He feels the organization has a great mission and a board that is well run and full of energetic people committed to the goals of the organization. He really enjoys applying his knowledge of a broad range of technology to help advance 501cTech’s mission. David holds a B.A. in Economics and History from State University of New York. Outside of work, David’s interests include personal fitness, motorcycling and cars.
