Jay Liverman

Senior Vice President of Business Process & Governance, Capital One

Jay Liverman is currently Senior Vice President of Business Process & Governance for Capital One Banks. Previously, he oversaw Enterprise IT strategic planning function, governance, project portfolio management, and operational risk and compliance efforts in the card division of Capital One. Prior to that, he served as the Business Information Officer for Strategic Partnerships at Freddie Mac. He also founded Liverman & Associates, a software development and consulting firm.

Jay is passionate about the work that nonprofits do and how technology can be so instrumental for them. As the founder of the Capital One Technology Corps, he helped connect skilled tech volunteers with nonprofits in need, such as Homestretch, Goodwill D.C., and Northern Virginia Family Services. Jay joined the 501cTech board in 2008, led the Judges Committee for the Technology Innovation Award and will become Board Chair in 2012. Jay is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with degrees in Finance and Information Technology. He lives in Falls Church, Va., and is blessed with a fantastic family and two dogs. He is also a graduate of Leadership Greater Washington, Class of 2010.
