Ken Williams

Ken Williams is the CEO and Founder of Allied Telecom Group, which provides telecommunications, broadband internet, VOIP telephony, and wide area network (WAN) services utilizing “next generation” last mile access. Before forming Allied Telecom Group and after completing his studies in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Drexel University in 1983, Ken served as systems engineer for Automated Business Systems and Services, Inc. in Maryland, and then as Vice President and Co-Founder of Barcode Technologies, Inc. in Washington D.C.
As an entrepreneur and innovative engineer, Ken sees the 501cTech Board as a perfect fit with the “Give Back!” he created at his company, which encourages employees to volunteer for charitable and community-based activities and organizations. Ken’s experience as an entrepreneur is very helpful as we grow our earned revenue stream. In addition to serving on our board, he is the board chair of Mentors, Inc., an organization whose mission is to increase the graduation rates and success of Washington, D.C. public high school students, and he serves on the Advisory Committee to the Board of Urban Ed, Inc., whose mission is to provide D.C. children, youth, and adults with technology-driven education, information, and skill development. In his free time, Ken enjoys working on his golf game as a new golfer and sailing or fishing on the Chesapeake Bay.
