President and CEO
Leading 501cTech brings together Julie Chapman’s two great passions — growing technology organizations and making the world a better place. While she began her career working with nonprofits, she spent the next 20 years working in the technology industry after receiving her M.B.A. from Columbia University. She worked at MCI in the early days of MCI Mail with industry luminaries such as Vint Cerf, founded a successful marketing firm, and worked as an executive in venture-backed startups including job site CareerBuilder.com and 86.com, an e-commerce provider for the food service industry.
TERRY ROBERTS
Chief Operating Officer
Terry Roberts draws upon her extensive management and finance skills to help keep 501cTech running smoothly. She truly enjoys working with our clients and helping them use technology to do their work better and smarter. Terry’s career has included experience in the government, private industry, and now the nonprofit sector.
TJ RAINSFORD
Chief Technology Officer
TJ Rainsford is 501cTech’s Chief Technology Officer and brings with him a wealth of experience in nonprofit IT. In the past 15 years, TJ has done everything from building workstations to deploying virtual enterprise class network infrastructures – and quite a bit in between. His experience goes well beyond the hardcore network engineering to include custom Web application development; systems integration; and information and knowledge management consulting.
SHERYL AUGUSTINE
Operations and Finance Director
Sheryl Augustine brings more than ten years of nonprofit administrative experience to 501cTech. As Operations and Finance Director, Sheryl ensures that clients are getting what they need, when they need it. In addition to knowing her way around Tech Soup like no one else in town, Sheryl is an expert at getting our clients the best deals on hardware.

TODD PETERSON
Director of Technology Services
Todd Peterson leads 501cTech’s technology services team, a role that allows him to apply his substantial technology and management background to helping nonprofits operate more effectively. He worked for ten years as an IT consultant for Northrop Grumman and Accenture, managing technology projects and client relationships with the U.S. Department of the Treasury, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Department of Homeland Security.

BEN HENDRICKS
Senior Engineer and Lead Architect
As 501cTech’s lead architect, Ben Hendricks spends ten percent of his time predicting the next big thing, 20 percent implementing the next big thing, 20 percent implementing the current big thing and 50 percent retiring the last big thing. Ben worked on Wall Street for a very brief time (unfortunately 1987 was not a good year for starting a financial career) and moved from that into IT-related work for various companies. He also spent eight great years as IT Director for the Girl Scout Council of the Nation’s Capital, which sparked an interest in nonprofit IT work, and the rest is history!

MIKE RAFTERY
Project Manager and Senior Engineer
Mike Raftery is 501cTech’s Project Manager and Senior Engineer. Prior to joining 501cTech, Mike worked at Dataprise as a Technical Services Manager. Prior to that, he ran his own independent IT consulting firm for 8 years. Outside of work, Mike loves to travel as much as possible and go to as many concerts as possible.

FRANCIS JOHNSON
Senior Engineer
Although he is very technically accomplished, it is Francis Johnson’s communication skills that set him apart. 501cTech clients appreciate both his ability to troubleshoot problems and to explain the solution to them in plain, straightforward language. A native of The Gambia in Western Africa, Francis joined us as an intern through a program run by the Washington Community Scholar Center of Eastern Mennonite University (EMU), where he was graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science.

ELIO TRABAL
Senior Engineer
Elio Trabal is one of 501cTech’s server gurus and an expert on Kaseya, our managed services solution. Elio joined us in 2007 and has risen through the ranks. He comes from a multicultural and multilingual background, and uses these skills to provide high quality customer support to our diverse pool of clients in their preferred language.

THAI HUYNH
Service Desk Coordinator
Thai Huynh coordinates the daily activities of the tech team and is much loved by our clients for his friendly and knowledgeable “desk-side manner.” Prior to joining 501cTech, he provided customer and sales support at T-Mobile, AT&T, and Best Buy in the Northern Virginia area.

KASH’KA FAIN
Service Desk Engineer
Kash’ka Fain is delighted to be supporting 501cTech’s clients and the important work that they do. A technology veteran with expertise in mobile IT support, he works the phones as well as assisting clients on site. Before joining 501cTech, he worked for a variety of companies providing technology support.

JONATHAN LEE
Service Desk Engineer
A Maryland native, Jonathan Lee really enjoys the challenge of helping 501cTech’s clients solve their computer related issues. He is very excited to work with all of the great technology that 501cTech deploys, which is not surprising given his B.S in Computer Science from the University of Maryland.

ELNAR MIRZAYEV
Service Desk Engineer
Elnar recently joined 501cTech as a Service Desk Engineer. Prior to joining us, Elnar was interning as a Junior Network Administrator at Uniplus Consultants. He recently graduated from George Mason University with a B.S. in Information Technology.

CARLOS ROMERO
Service Desk Associate
Carlos Romero joined 501cTech as an intern in the Spring of 2011. His enthusiasm and eagerness to learn allowed Carlos to make his way to Service Desk Engineer in the Summer. Outside of work, Carlos enjoys playing sports–his favorite being soccer and he also enjoys listening to music.

QUIZAIRA RECIO
Operations Assistant
As Executive Assistant, Quizaira Recio provides critical support to 501ctech’s, senior staff and general operations. Before joining us, Quizaira was a literacy referral specialist at the Florida Literacy Coalition, where she managed a statewide bilingual hotline for adult basic education referrals and a clearinghouse of outreach and reference materials for adult education practitioners across Florida.

BOB BAILEY
Salesforce Consultant
Bob Bailey is 501cTech’s resident Salesforce Specialist. Bob has been solving IT problems for more than 20 years. From database to system level software, he has done it all. Bob developed application software for several businesses before joining Landmark Systems, a commercial software house, where he wrote software, managed software engineers, and ran the sales and marketing efforts for the VSE platform.
